INDRA

The heart of Nikola Labs’ solutions is the tiny INDRA chip, which measures only 5.6mm x 3mm x 0.8mm. Developed with Texas Instruments and Skyworks Solutions, INDRA is a miniaturized version of Nikola Labs’ efficient RF-to-DC circuitry. INDRA was specifically designed to power Internet of things (IoT) devices, such as industrial sensors, which with the addition of wireless power can provide uninterrupted data without the need to ever change batteries.

Features of INDRA include:

State-of-the-art RF-to-DC rectifier using Skyworks Solutions diodes

  • Low forward voltage suitable for harvesting low-power RF signals

Power management optimized for ultra-low power applications

  • Efficient as low as 15 uW

  • 330mV cold-start

50% Maximum Power Point Tracking (MPPT)

  • Regulated 3.3 V DC output

External antenna and impedance matching

  • Maximum application flexibility

  • Works over a wide range of frequencies – 300 MHz to 6 GHz
