This hunter role involves selling technology to manufacturing clients with a try-before-they-buy approach that helps sales stick. Sales cycle is short and subscription based. No one else has the technology, team, process or product that we have. Our competitors wish they thought of it first.
Comp is competitive associate level base salary, based on experience. Opportunity to earn 4x your base if all goals are exceeded.
ROLE
Promote and sell products/services using solid value proposition with existing and new customers.
Provide insights on customer needs, new offerings, industry trends, etc.
Gain an in-depth understanding of Nikola services, solutions, industry position and value.
Organize sales visits to take best advantage of company resources.
Attend trade shows, conferences, and meetings as needed.
Gain access to site visits and sales opportunities through brief online sales demonstrations.
Contribute to team effort and goals by accomplishing related results as needed, even when effort may not directly impact individual targets.
Deliver customized, targeted sales strategies and solutions based on the unique attributes of each potential client.
Research potential leads from business directories, web searches, or digital resources.
Produce reports on standard sales activities on a routine basis in company CRM.
REQUIREMENTS
3-5 years of sales experience
HS Diploma
Clear understanding of how to communicate effectively
Efficient and independent time management for various activities, including calls, meetings, follow-ups, presentations, etc.
Strong ability to build relationships through trust and honesty

Ability to go beyond "just the facts" in talking about Nikola’s solutions - example: real case studies.
Ability to efficiently transition closed sales to post-sale teams
Strong critical thinking ability; ability to see/solve problems that may not be apparent.
Demonstrate an ability to bounce back from challenges with a positive attitude and determination.
Ability to portray the vision of the product and company.
Ability to actively listen, ask strong and relatable questions, and ‘read between the lines’ in order to determine what the client’s true pains and objectives are.
Possess a high level of drive and self-motivation without need for direction or frequent support.
Strong familiarity with an activity-based CRM or sales enablement tool, such as Salesforce.com.
Ability to work hours required by the workload
Ability to travel 3-4 days per week as needed
